(New Forest)
When my father was alive we used to let our animals out into the New Forest including cows, pigs and ponies because my dad had Commoners and Foresters rights, he also had his own "brand". After he died my mum eventually sold the animals but we continued to exercise other Commoners rights which included collecting firewood, sadly my mum died in 2016. I still live in the same property and am interested in having some ponies in the forest again. I understand that the Commoners rights remain with the property and I would like to know if the same pony grazing rights as my parents exercised would still apply? eg.for me?
If you contact The Verderers Office they can look your property up on their map and let you know. There may be a charge for this service.
