could I buy one and are they killed if not sold?

You can buy a New Forest pony at the Beaulieu Road sales (see details http://www.nfls.org.uk) Do you have land to keep a pony on? Have you had one before?

New Forest ponies are usually lovely temperaments but need to go to a kind home with people who have experience of keeping horses.

The colts (male foals) are often not kept on the Forest after the Drift as they have little value and cost a lot to keep. Hope this helps?
